When I think about my past experiences with photography, I think of my sister. Since we were young, my older sister (who is three years older than I am) has been a really talented photographer. However, my own experience with photography is much less advanced.
When I take photos, they’re usually to capture good memories or time with friends, and I don’t usually take photos with the intention of them being art or self-expression.
I don’t take a lot of photos, but if I do take a photo because I find something beautiful, my approach is to try and capture the photo in a way which is close to how I view something with my own eyes. For example, if I take a picture of a landscape, I won’t use filters or edit the photo so it looks unnatural.
Most of the time, I take pictures with my iPhone camera, so I am not usually successful in capturing the full beauty of objects/landscapes in my photos, but I don’t think photography that seriously. In order to improve my photos, I think I should take more photos. I’m not likely to invest in a fancy camera but if I continue to take more and more photos with my phone, I’m bound to improve.
