DS106 Live Broadcast Experience

On Tuesday, I participated in the DS106 Radio live “tweet-along”. I quite enjoyed hearing the crime podcast, and it gave me an example of good digital storytelling and how the layering of sounds can make for a more intriguing story.

The mentioning of ghosts makes me wonder if Charles had some sort of supernatural powers. Even though this is not a ghost story, I think there could be some connection to mind control or talking to spirits.

#ds106 It's interesting that the school asked Charles to leave and his parents agreed even though there was no disciplinary issues, especially if they hired a tutor. Had Charles convinced them to let him leave and they were too scared to say no?

#ds106 Although Charles is described as weird, the recorded conversations he has with his therapist make his mannerisms and social skills seem fairly normal.

Even though there weren’t many people tweeting along with me, I still enjoyed seeing other people’s reactions and how they compared to mine. Overall, it was a really positive experience that allowed me to learn and think more about how certain aspects of audio digital storytelling can change the effect of a story.
