Weekly Summary: Week 6

This week for design week, I really enjoyed myself. The software that I used most (and have been using the most throughout this course) was Google Drawings. I would love to begin using other software such as GIMP, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. However, it is either too costly or two complicated/time consuming to learn how to use this software effectively in just one week.

This week, I did 3 Daily Creates:

My favorite of the three was definitely the chess piece, because it was the most creative of the three and in my opinion a pretty clever play on words.

In addition to my Daily Creates, I also wrote my #designthoughts piece.

I then did my 4 design assignments from the assignment bank.

  1. DESIGN A LICENSE PLATE: NORTH CAROLINA STYLE
  2. A NEW CEREAL ON THE SHELVES: RAZZLE-DAZZLES
  3. MOTIVATIONAL POSTER FOR CORONATIMES
  4. MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY COVER

Out of these my license plate design was definitely the most complex of the four, however it was the most rewarding. Out of all the assignments that had to do with the Semester’s theme and my story, I think this one told my story the best.

I also did my Design Blitz, mostly using things that can be found around UMW campus, as well as my Posts of the Week form.

This week I participated through comments.
